Garreth Cooke, Managing Director
Garreth overseas the running of each division of the company and founded Emerald Elite Ltd in October 2004.
A love of Ireland, travel and golf has given him the insight to fine tune each division of the company. Garreth'
s past attendance at numerous conferences, incentive trips and corporate events has been vital in developing our unique approach to destination management.
Although having a background in computer programming with study at Dublin Institute of Technology, Boston University and North Eastern University (ecommerce), Garreth's experience stems from over 10 years corporate relationship management (Bank of America & Thomson) with Fortune 500 Companies including IBM, Analog Devices, Bank of
America, Fidelity Investments, State Street Global Advisors, Sprint and United Technologies – To name but a few.
Despite being a self confessed
workaholic and having three young boys, he sometimes manages to escape for a few hours golf on the links at The Island Golf Club where he is a member.
Dermot Buckley, Group Operations Director
Some would say that Dermot missed his true calling, either onstage as an entertainer
or in the military as a commanding figure. Dermot manages the transportation and logistics of our conferences, incentives and events. His hands on approach and ability
to manage ground handling is a critical component of our business.
A veteran of the chauffeur business, Dermot has looked after several world leaders from politics
and the corporate sector. He is an award winning Approved National Guide. Dermot has an amazing ability to control an event and make everyone feel safe, secure and in capable
hands.
One of Dermot's recent and unusual awards was bestowed on him at the 2008 Ryder Cup in Valhalla. Dermot was made a Kentucky Colonel
by Senator Johnny Ray Turner. If you are fortunate to spend an evening in Dermot's company you will be entertained by his wit, songs, bodhrán playing and stories.
Valerie Cooke, Director
Valerie assists with the strategic development of the company on an advisory level. Originally from Boston,
Valerie is a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, MA where she also captained the swim team. Presently Valerie is in the process of completing her MBA at Dublin City
University. Valerie has over 10 years experience in biotechnology and medical instruments.
Martyn Rosney – Sales & Marketing Executive
Martyn joined the team in June 2010. He hails from Killarney, Co. Kerry and
has grown up in the tourist industry. He was pouring pints of Guinness at the tender age of 8, although not very good ones! He graduated from University College Cork
with a degree in Marketing and coupled this with a Masters in PR. Martyn is fresh into the workplace and knows he will gain great experience working with Irelands premier
luxury specialist tour and travel operator.
He has a keen interest in golf and likes to get out whenever he can. Although Martyn plays off
15 (for the moment) it is widely acknowledged that he talks off scratch. Martyn also has a keen interest in Irish history and culture and knowledge of Ireland that is wise
beyond his young years!
Sinead McGoldrick – Sales & Marketing Executive
Sinead studied at Dundalk Institute of Technology and holds a business degree in Event Management. Previous roles in the hospitality industry for Sinead include working as a
conference and events executive with a multinational hotel. As a native of Tara in the Royal County of Meath, Sinead has an in-depth knowledge of the local Irish history and
culture as well as being an avid GAA fan!
